Summer is the most difficult time for Miller-Keystone Blood Center to meet the needs of our area hospitals. Nationwide, blood banks are struggling to keep up with the demand for blood and our community is not exempt from this dire situation. Currently, the supply of O Positive blood type is dangerously low.
Summer has only just begun and the shelves are already almost empty! This is alarming and we are asking if you will please consider including one short hour (from Registration to Canteen) in your plans to stop in and donate blood. Summertime is busy, but the need for blood never takes a vacation.
